Wicker plaques are made on Third Mesa, which are Orayvi, Hotevilla, Bacavi, Kykotsmovi, and Moencopi Villages. Women are the weavers of these plaques and baskets. Wicker plaques and baskets are made from different materials as coil plaques. The designs are similar to coil plaques.
Rubber rabbit brush, yucca and long sticks of broom are used to make the wicker plaques and baskets. Baskets are rarely made today.
Yucca baskets are made from flat strips of yucca, some are dyed to bring out the designs and insignias. Yucca baskets are made on all three mesas, by the females. The baskets are used for sifting corn kernels and other goods. Today they make nice room decorators.
